The family that runs this delightful restaurant have
dedicated themselves to making their establishment one
of the finest in Cyprus. Located in the scenic traditional
town of Kouklia, the tavern walls are decorated with traditional
farming gear and the furniture is how it should be. Chequered
table cloths and straw chairs bring you that little bit
closer to local Cypriot living.
The food is sublime, a variety of local meze dishes or
dishes of your choice are served fresh from the kitchen,
with a big smile from the proprietors!
Friday and Saturday nights sees the local musicians putting
on a song and dance show. Playing bouzoukia (local guitar
- remember Zorba the Greek?) and wearing traditional attire,
the group puts on a lively display whilst you enjoy the
great food and company before you.

The simplest way to find the restaurant is to go to the
centre of Kouklia village (just follow the largest road
in) and then ask any of the friendly locals where the
'Anathassi Tavern' is.....we can't give you too much help,
you need to mingle with the locals a bit!
