Welcome
to Coral Bay!
OK so there is a lot of fuss about Coral Bay, but not
a lot of people know much about the area. Whilst Agios receives a large
number of enquiries for villas in the area, it is worth us pointing out
now that Coral Bay is the island's most commercialised tourist and residential
area. For this reason, if you are looking for something with hustle and
bustle, if you want to be close to the beach and you want to be close
to all amenities, then Coral Bay is for you. If you are looking for Cyprus
villas with privacy in a less energetic environment then try Aphrodite
Hills. Want to be close to the sea and experience Cyprus at a slower
scenic pace? Then give Pissouri
a go.
With that out the way, let's continue on with Coral Bay.
Coral Bay is an area just 10 minutes north of Paphos Town. For the better
part, it is a strip with bars, restaurants and pubs all within walking
distance of one another which lends itself to quite a lively atmosphere.
A 5 minute walk down the hill takes you to the main beach. This bay is
one of the longest and finest stretches of beach in the area. With numerous
hotels in the vicinity, Coral Bay becomes the main tourist attraction
in the summer months. It is also worth mentioning that its calm waters
make this a child friendly beach where you’ll find all water sports
from banana boat rides to jet skis for hire.
Being close to Paphos Town, the Paphos Harbour is only 15 minutes away
which is frequented by tourists who want to enjoy an evening meal in the
scenic surroundings. Paphos is also home to the Tombs of the Kings Road
which is littered with more bars, shops and restaurants. A frequent bus
service will get you into Paphos.
Things to do in the area include Paphos Bird Park, reptile park, horse
riding, Akamas Peninsular & Lara Nature Reserve, hiking/walking, buggy
safaris, 4 x 4 safaris, sea caves area, sailing and many more. Amusement
and water parks in Paphos are also easily accessible from Coral Bay as
are numerous archaeological ruins such as the Tombs of the Kings.
If you want to get out and explore some fantastic scenery, take a trip
to the Akamas, Polis, Latchi or even Troodos mountains. The Akamas is
an untouched part of Cyprus with unspoilt coastline and traditional fish
taverns in stunning seaside locations. Troodos is of course the main mountain
range in Cyprus, not many people know that in the winter....you can ski!
Villas tend to be well priced in this area.
