Coming to Cyprus and wondering what to expect. Apart from a range of thousands of luxury Cyprus Villas, Hotels and apartments, what else does the island have to offer?
Ok, so we’ll go through the normal motions and say the Cyprus Weather is great, something like 360 days of sunshine. Not so fast.
Firstly, it does rain in the winter, and quite alot. But this is a good thing right as the place would look pretty desolate if it didn’t. Some say that statistic is inferring 360 days where the sun shines for at least one during the day. Well, times have changed, so forget it. But what about the summer?

From about April through to October and sometimes into November, the weather is very favourable. If booking a holiday to Cyprus, April to June is mild weather, July to the end of Sept is very hot and Oct – Nov mild.
Food? Restaurants in Cyprus very in both quality and price. Make sure you get your hands on a decent food guide. Agios will be launching Eyeris soon which has a voice activated, interactive restaurant guide which will make the job of finding quality food in Cyprus much easier and fun.
Beaches? Most of the sandy beaches are located on the eastern side of the island, with Paphos and Latchi enjoying some shale and pebble beaches. It depends what you want really.
Cyprus Hotels in Winter
Booking a hotel in Cyprus is winter is not as far out as it sounds. Luxury Cyprus Hotels are generally located on the beach and yes the water is too cold to swim in, but we’re not saying ‘come for the beach’. We’re saying come for the Cyprus Weather.

Cyprus is having an exceptional winter however, it has been raining alot, but why not come in March for some crips clear air in the mountains, whilst enjoying some brisk walks on the golf course back at the hotel?
Flights also tend to be much cheaper in the winter as one would expect, and so too is everything else on the island. Local shopping, restaurants, groceries, entertainment – everything is offered at winter rates so there is alot of savings to be made.

Aphrodite Hills
This is perhaps one of the most popular destinations on the island when it comes to villa rentals. With their new contemporary designs, large gardens, heated swimming pools and proximity to the golf course and villas square amenities, there are many reasons why this resort is a priority on many peoples search lists.
One of the added benefits of Aphrodite Hills is that it is only 12 mins drive from Paphos airport. Added benefits include restaurants and mini supermarket on-site as well as a spa and tennis academy.
The biggest selling point is the Aphrodite Hills Kids Club.
Pissouri
A very scenic location in Cyprus, Pissouri is our personal favourite. It is a quiet, stunning location with a lovely beach, perfect for the family holidays. The bay and village itself of course boast a selection of restaurants to choose from and we highly recommend visiting this area of Cyprus even if not booking a villa here.
Coral Bay Paphos

Paphos airport is mere 12km away so getting to and from the airport is the least of your concerns. There is a kids club, so looking after the kids all day is not a priority.

Aphrodite Hills boasts many great features, but the Hotel is one of the main key points and we invite you to visit us particularly between the months of April to October when the weather is at its best.

So you’re thinking about getting married and having your wedding in Cyprus, and now you’re not sure whether to have a hotel wedding venue, a villa wedding or a beach wedding.
Every wedding flavour has it’s advantages.
Beach Wedding
Cyprus Weddings don’t really get more popular than this, it’s the Med right so what a better way to tie the knot. Not so fast.
It really does depend on what time of the year you are looking to have your wedding in Cyprus. Come at the wrong time and you might need a portable air conditioner. Avoid these type of weddings in Cyprus during the summer months of July through to the end of september. Look carefully at the annual Cyprus weather charts to see what you should be doing with respect to this.
Other than that, what a way to do it. A highly recommended destination for beach weddings is the Columbia resort in Pissouri Bay.
Hotel Weddings in Cyprus
One piece of advice here, kill two birds with one stone – have a beach wedding, in a hotel that probably has the best setting on the island. We mentioned it before and we will do it again here, contact the Columbia hotel in Pissouri. Don’t worry we’re not on their payroll, we just happened to get married there.

The Weather in Cyprus
Ok folks, if you were putting your holiday plans to Cyprus off because of the dismal Cyprus Weather, the situation improved significantly over the weekend, but according to the met office the weather in Cyprus is going to deteriorate on Tuesday and remain cloudy until Friday or Saturday.
Whilst we do really need the rain here in Cyprus, we don’t have a good catchment system, it is becoming a bit of a drag having rain day in and day out. Makes one wonder what happened considering the entire photo shoot on our Cyprus Luxury Hotels web page was done in early January up at the Aphrodite Hills Hotel
Hopefully things will improve soon and we can get back to doing what we do best – living in the sun!

The types of holiday property that most couple and golfers look for aren’t the larger luxury holiday villas in Cyprus, it’s holiday apartments. The reason the golfers use them is they are perfect for four ball groups at much less expense than hotels per head. Conveniently located on or very near to golf resorts such as Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley, and close to Paphos airport, they are ideal.

It’s been a very long and cold winter in Cyprus, so this normally means a good solid summer with some great sunny skies! Whilst the old travel pitch of 360 days of sunshine is not true by any means, between April and October, you can rest assured that the weather in Cyprus is going to be sublime. Temperatures range between 20 and 35 degrees so there is every reason to book a holiday villa as soon as possible.
