A selection of Pissouri Villas for families
From the myriad of holiday destinations in Europe available to tourists, each holiday location has a couple of spots that generally define it in the public eye either as a holiday destination for youngsters or as a place for older travellers looking to escape from everything for a while.
Enqueue Pissouri. This scenic seaside town in Cyprus, is frequented by holiday makers primarily from the UK so many of the establishments are oriented around the tastes and preferences.
Agios has a small but select choice of villas in Pissouri, with primary focus on 2 and 3 bedroom Pissouri villas, obvious focus given to their orientation to the sea. Whilst there are a couple of villas located closer to the old village at the top of the bay, you’ll find most of our villas down close to the sea and seaside restaurants.

10 Weather Forecast in Cyprus
Well the winter has finally set in. Considering it is almost mid December, we should count ourselves lucky.
Apart from July, it’s been a fairly mild summer this year in Cyprus, the winter itself from last year dragging on well into May.
The strange thing about the seasons here now is that the change is so rapid, it’s almost as if there is no spring and no autumn. So we look forward to a festive season, and a temporary reprieve from the humidity that welcomed us each day at work. Looking at the 10 day forecast, things should be fairly pleasant towards Christmas.
We’ll all be taking stock, relaxing and catching up with family, before getting back to work to face fresh challenges in 2013.
Villas to let in Cyprus
Agios is now officially on the hunt for a new range of luxury villas to let in Cyprus.
Having now reached the final stages a new homepage layout, we are extending a number of our rental services to help make the experience of booking and enjoying a villa holiday in Cyprus, that much better. Villas will of course be subject to rigorous scrutiny to ensure we remain top of the pile in terms of presentation, quality of product and service.
Villas that will obviously be high on the wanted list, are villas close to beaches or at least the shoreline. Villas close to amenities and walking distance to restaurants with good food are also excellent options.
The topic of Cyprus Apartments always comes up and we will be changing the way we work for this. An apartment holiday in Cyprus is for folks who may not want something too large or too expensive. It’s due to the costs that we are unable to in good faith charge an owner a commission because it ends up pushing the apartment past market rates. Therefore if you have an apartment in Cyprus, for 100Euro per annum you can advertise your property on our website and receive enquiries directly from it.
So if you or anyone that you know has a villa or apartment that they need to rent out, please direct them to our villa rentals website. We will make every effort to assist and advise you on how bes to maximise your return on your property.

Cyprus Food
We’re getting ready to launch our Cyprus Food guide, but it will not be basic print. It will be in a much more dynamic and searchable form – it will be an app.
There is a plethora of restaurants in Cyprus and we are going to try and get as many of them into the app, but how will we control this information so that it doesn’t overwhelm you? Everything will be based on two things: your location, and the type of food you wish to eat.
If you fancy Grilled Chicken, just tell the app and it will search all the menus and voila – a list of restaurants ordered by their proximity to you.
We’ll even take things a step further and make it possible for restaurant owners to extend discounts to you via the app so you can enjoy some great food, in the awesome Cyprus climate.
If you know of any restaurants that serve really good food, let us know about it, we’d love to add them to the app as soon as possible.
Cyprus Weather Conditions
Well the Weather in Cyprus has been very interesting to say the least. It has to be said, the winters in Cyprus are not welcoming at all.
The wind has been exceptionally active, the rains have been superb and the electrical storms have knocked out most grids in the Aphrodite Hills area a couple of times. But this is all good, because the summer is just around the corner.
Save the odd freak day where the Coptic winds kick up ahead of schedule, it’s getting nice and warm now and we can all get back to talking about the famous ‘Cyprus Weather‘
It’s been a long and frigid winter, but the olive trees are blossoming as are the cherry blossoms, we all look forward to getting our beach gear dusted off and we are definitely looking forward to enjoying the Cyprus Restaurants on the beaches too.
One area that we will be visiting alot this summer will be our usual haunt of Pissouri – join us
Aphrodite Hills Hotel
Aphrodite Hills is currently reinventing itself. Being a fully integrated resort was always on the brochure, but the way you experience the resort is now going to reflect this.
Being a resort, it’s not just about: Hotel and Beach, it’s about so much more. The Aphrodite Hills Hotel offers you a new dine around option. The village square at the Aphrodite Hills resort is packed with restaurants that you can now enjoy as a hotel guest. Cyprus Hotels are normally limited in their offerings, because that’s all they are, Hotels.
Experiencing Aphrodite Hills is something far superior and engaging, not just from the dining options, but to activities and things to do.
When we make our next pass over the resort, we’ll be sure to get some photos of each of these Cyprus Restaurants and include them in our upcoming mobile application complete with menus and reservations options.
Aphrodite Hills, a new way of thinking.
Cyprus Beach Hotels
So let’s talk hotels.
Is a beach hotel more appealing than a beach hotel on a resort such as Aphrodite Hills? The Aphrodite Hills Hotel is a special case worth considering here. Whilst beach hotels in Cyprus are very popular amongst holiday makers to Cyprus, there are some special points to consider.
Firstly, it’s on a resort so there is quite a bit to do. What wold a holiday family normally do if staying at a beach hotel, sit on the beach all day every day? Not likely. But then it gets interesting because to find any activities, they will have to travel pretty far to find things to do. They may in fact find themselves visiting Aphrodite Hills!
So let’s look at the list of things to do when staying at Aphrodite Hills:
Horse Riding
Tennis
Spa
Golf
Walking Trails
Numerous Cyprus restaurants to break up the day
Kids activity club
So when you really come to think about it, being close to the beach, but on a resort it probably more beneficial.
Let’s look at some new Cyprus Hotels
Well actually, they aren’t new. It’s a new way we want to present them, a way that capitalises on high speed internet connections and big colourful computer screens.
Cyprus Hotels, the media used to present them, how would you rate it? Pretty poorly if you think about it for a minute. All the large hotel booking websites take the data and photos of the hotels from the same sources and as such everything ends up looking the same when browsing the internet for hotel in Cyprus, or anywhere else for that matter.
So why is this the case?
Let’s look at it from a developmental point of view. You need a web developer, you need a photographer to shoot the hotel and make it look like a luxury establishment, you need a content writer to create meaningful content and a search engine optimiser to get the hotel website ranked.
By the time a company has finished paying this you need to get an awful lot of bookings to recover. So it’s usually the media and optimisation that are left of the budgets and the hotel relies heavily on the global distribution systems. Brilliant setup – not.
Let hotels, and since we live in Cyprus, let Cyprus Hotels, take the lead and start presenting themselves in a more dynamic, colourful and interactive manner!
New Villas in Cyprus
Agios is constantly looking to add new and exclusive Villas in Cyprus to its portfolio. As such we will be adding two very beautiful 3 bedroom villas in Latchi each with stunning sea views.
These villas are not located within walking distance of shops and amenities, they are secluded and private, and what’s more they are on an exclusive health farm complete with spa and Cyprus restaurants.
We’d like to invite you as well as all of our regular guests to check in with us within the next 10 days to get access to these villas that will come with a full spread of availability. As far as private Cyprus holidays go, these villas in Cyprus are the way forward and are a great way to enjoy some time in the Med.
On a side note, as these villas are remote, we do offer an airport transfer service from either Paphos or Larnaca.
Pissouri Villas
We seem to be getting alot of interest in Pissouri Bay in Cyprus, particularly from couples and small families. Our range of Pissouri Villas offers you convenience and privacy.
Located in a small bay, this is a stunning area. Without the hustle and bustle of more commercialized areas such as Coral Bay in Paphos this is ideal for those seeking a slightly more authentic Cypriot experience. The Cyprus villas we offer here are all located within walking distance of the Pissouri beach, all Pissouri restaurants and amenities. Whilst the beach is very close, the villas all come with private pool and gardens to keep you happy on those days that you are not down at the beach.
The Pissouri Bay beach itself offers a range of water sports, the usual suspects apply here, so no shortage of things to do. The local Cyprus restaurants and taverns are a great way to explore local Cypriot dishes. Sundays is normally a great day to go down to the taverns to enjoy some sunday lamb cooked slowly in a kiln (clay oven).

Cyprus Villas, Holidays and what to expect
Coming to Cyprus and wondering what to expect. Apart from a range of thousands of luxury Cyprus Villas, Hotels and apartments, what else does the island have to offer?
Ok, so we’ll go through the normal motions and say the Cyprus Weather is great, something like 360 days of sunshine. Not so fast.
Firstly, it does rain in the winter, and quite alot. But this is a good thing right as the place would look pretty desolate if it didn’t. Some say that statistic is inferring 360 days where the sun shines for at least one during the day. Well, times have changed, so forget it. But what about the summer?
From about April through to October and sometimes into November, the weather is very favourable. If booking a holiday to Cyprus, April to June is mild weather, July to the end of Sept is very hot and Oct – Nov mild.
Food? Restaurants in Cyprus very in both quality and price. Make sure you get your hands on a decent food guide. Agios will be launching Eyeris soon which has a voice activated, interactive restaurant guide which will make the job of finding quality food in Cyprus much easier and fun.
Beaches? Most of the sandy beaches are located on the eastern side of the island, with Paphos and Latchi enjoying some shale and pebble beaches. It depends what you want really.
Cyprus Hotels in Winter
Booking a hotel in Cyprus is winter is not as far out as it sounds. Luxury Cyprus Hotels are generally located on the beach and yes the water is too cold to swim in, but we’re not saying ‘come for the beach’. We’re saying come for the Cyprus Weather.
If you look at the photos attached to this blog post, would it surprise you to know that we took these photos in early January?
Cyprus is having an exceptional winter however, it has been raining alot, but why not come in March for some crips clear air in the mountains, whilst enjoying some brisk walks on the golf course back at the hotel?
Flights also tend to be much cheaper in the winter as one would expect, and so too is everything else on the island. Local shopping, restaurants, groceries, entertainment – everything is offered at winter rates so there is alot of savings to be made.
Get online, look for some Cyprus Hotels and get out here before the weather back home really gets to you!
Cyprus Restaurants Interactive Guide
In about a month we will be launching our interactive Cyprus Restaurants guide. Interactive? How so? Agios is taking its first steps into mobile application technology. This is where we put Cyprus into your pocket where ever you are.

Restaurants in Cyprus
Looking for some traditional Cyprus meze? Looking for some fresh sea food or even some Chinese? It’s all here with information, menus, point to point driving directions and you can even enjoy special offers as and when they happen directly from the restaurant itself. Whilst there are many Restaurants in Cyprus we wouldn’t exactly recommend every single ourselves, we’ll let the public do that using TripAdvisor reviews.
We’ve taken alot of time and energy compiling what we believe the most suitably located restaurants. Establishments that are easy to find, offer good value and good service. You can judge the food yourself and leave a review.
If you yourself have recently been to a restaurant in Cyprus and feel it should be part of our interactive guide, just use the ‘recommend’ button in the app and we’ll make a visit as soon as possible based on your feedback.
Eating out is now that little it easier as you can choose not only by theme, but by distance to where you are and by rating.

Cyprus Holidays on the beach
Cyprus Holidays don’t get better than this. A private beach front area, stunning villas in the sun, a golf course nearby, make it yours today. Agios is very pleased to announce the addition of a select range of superior villas in Cyprus for your holiday enjoyment.
Of course this bouquet of villas doesn’t just apply to how you intend on spending your Cyprus holidays, we offer you a springboard from which you enjoy and discover the island of Cyprus. We generally tend to focus on villas that are in prime locations in Cyprus, and this generally covers three areas: beach front, golf resort and secluded villas in the middle of nowhere.
Let’s talk about the beach villas we mentioned earlier on. Located in Paphos by the main harbour area, these properties are newly built and all face the sea. Complete with marble interior, local stone exterior, gardens and private pools, these villas look the part. Many guest flying over from the states tend to worry about getting around, we drive on the left. As these villas are located sufficiently close to the airport – about 15 mins drive, we have a collection service for your convenience.
The kids can either spend time in the pool, or they can take a trot down to the sea and enjoy some time paddling in the sun. This particular project of holiday villas sports a private bar area right on the beach – pure class.
Let’s move on to the golf villas. Aphrodite Hills is the premier integrated resort in Cyprus and features a portfolio of stunning luxury villas, an Intercontinental hotel, spa, tennis academy, village square and restaurants. Agios has a number of villas on this holiday resort, and we want to share them with you, because if you are planning a holiday to the med, this is the place to go.
